ART AWARDS TO VILLAGE CHILDREN

Children of ‘Sanskriti’ the rural art center of Young  Envoys  International a NGO  based in the city won several awards at the prestigious 6th  International   children’s art  Biennial organized by the Institute of Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults the premier cultural body of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

K. Sony and Kranthi kumar won the gold medals, A’Rishi Tej and Praveen Kumar won the silver medals and A. Shree Tej, Dharmender and K.Bhanu chander won the Bronze Medals. In addition, 15 Hononable Mention Diplomas were awarded to other students.

These awards were presented at the Salarjung Museum on  1.2.2014  i.e yesterday at the inaugural function of the Iranian cultural week organized commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Islamic revolution of the  Republic of Iran.

The awards were presented by His Excellency Hassan Naurian, the  Iranian Consulate General and Smt. Chandana Khan, Principle Secretary Tourism and culture Gvt of AP who was the chief guest at the function.  Also present were the Ambassador   of Turkey, the Iranian cultural attaché in Mumbai, the Dy Mayor of Esfhan, Iran, Dr.Nagender Reddy Director of Salarjung Museum, Dr. BA Reddy, founder Young Envoys International , Several other dignitaries and a good number of Iranian Nationals.  The dignitaries praised the rural children and Mrs . Khan asked the children to organize an exhibition  of their paintings and offered them a gallery.
