“Bald Pigeon Fancier” in the 12th Sichuan TV Festival

The 12th Sichuan TV Festival which is known as one of the most prominent Asian festivals, will be held from Nov 16 to 18, 2013, in the city of Chengdu, China featuring international TV program market, international “Gold Panda” awards, multicultural media events, world media development forum, the first china formats competition and international radio, TV and network equipment exhibition. It is a great get-together for both professionals and the general public.

Established in 1991, the festival has encouraged the participation of media companies, associations and cultural representatives from around the world. It has become one of the most reputable TV festivals and the most effective platforms to access the most updated TV and film marketing information in China and Asia. It is dedicated to discovering new topics, creating new content, introducing new formats, and offering new services.

Until September 30, 2013, a total of 5336 programs from 77countries and regions have been received, a new record    in our festival’s history, which increases 35% compared to the last year. Based on the statistics, the entries’ number, quality and category as well as the number of entrant territories have increased year by year, gradually turned the festival into a reputed international animation awards of influence, authority and credibility.

The “Gold Panda” Awards proves to be the biggest competition of its kind in Asia again. A number of excellent works that represent the industrial development of   China and the world have been awarded. The Internationalism, professionalism, authority of the “Gold Panda” Awards have been further enhanced. The “Gold Panda” brand has been promoted with larger influence and better reputation.

Nominees for Best Overseas Animated TV Series are from Korea, Australia, Spain, Estonia and France.

Nominees for Best Domestic Animated TV Series are from China.

Nominees for Best Overseas Technology Demonstration Animation are from UK, France, Malaysia and India.

Nominees for Best Domestic Technology Demonstration Animation are from China.

Nominees for Special Jury Award are from China, Russia, Iran and Lithuania.

Nominees for Best Director are form Denmark, China, Brazil and Germany.

Nominees for Best Screenplay are from China, Denmark, Germany and Australia.

Nominees for Best Animated Character are from Korea, China, France, Armenia and Bulgaria.

Nominees for Best Visual Effects are from France and China.

Kanoon has submitted 12 animated films including “Kind Moon”, “Life Story of Red Pencil”, “Bald Pigeon Fancier”, “the Fox that Followed the Sound”, “Mammy Crow and the Fox”, “ Wedding Party”, “The Night Song”, “Here’s the Money for Fish”, “The Kitten”, “White Pigeon next to Mirror”, “Why this Phone Never Rings” and “The Secret of that Tree” among which Sadegh Javadi’s 8minute “Bald Pigeon Fancier” has been nominated for the Golden Panda Jury Award.
