First presence of “White Pigeon Next to the Mirror” in 12th Silhouette International Film Festival

The 12th Silhouette International Film Festival which is the biggest outdoor short film festival in Paris will be held from August 31st to September 8th, 2013. “White Pigeon Next to the Mirror” by Maryam Khalilzadeh, “Kind Moon” by Nazanin Sobhan Sarbandi and “Life Story of Red Pencil” by Alireza Chitaee are three of kanoon’s productions which have been slated to contend for awards at this year’s festival which will be held in the Parc de la Butte du Chapeau Rouge.

Founded in 2002, Silhouette has managed to welcome over 20,000 people for nine screening nights with a rich selection of fiction, documentaries, and animations. The 12th round of the festival has a certain procedure: the evenings kick off with a concert that is timed with sunset and goes on for an hour before the screenings begin. There’s usually two hours worth of short films, all shown outside on an inflatable screen.

Three will be also other plans including diurnal sessions, meetings with movie crews and workshops for children or the whole family.

The festival is composed of four sections of animation, documentary and experimental, clip and international with a jury panel of professional, student and public audience.
