Four of Kanoon’s Animations Presented in France’s Short Film Market

Four of the latest Kanoon’s productions were presented in the 29th France’s international short film market in Clermont-Ferrand. According to the public affair department of Kanoon, an average of 6,500 new titles are registered each year for the market and made available for viewing on 39 video terminals to 370 industry delegates including buyers, TV, distributors, festival curators etc.

The 29th edition of the market was held along with the 36th Clermont‑Ferrand International Short Film Festival from January 31st to February 8th, 2014 and hosted “Cloudy Kids” by Hamid Karimian, “Trees’ Thief” by Rashin Kheiriyeh, “When I was a Child” by Maryam Kashkoolinia and “The Bald Boyand the Invisible Hat” by Fatemeh Jafari.

The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival has become the world’s premier cinema event dedicated to short films. It is the second largest film festival in France after Cannes in terms of audience and professional attendance which is held annually in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and has boasted over 100,000 attendees annually, since 1995.

It is worth to add that films selected in the international competition are eligible for cash prizes including the Grand Prize (director receives 4000 Euros).
