Kanoon to Participate in Prague’s Iranian Films Festival

The second Prague’s Iranian films festival with the theme of “kids and teenager in Iranian cinema” which hosts university lecturers and students will be held on January 9-13, 2013 in the capital of Czech Republic.

The live films to be screened are:

  • “Homework” by Abbas Kiarostami
  • “Bashou, the Little Stranger” by Bahram Beizaee
  • “Deliverance” by Nasser Taghvaee
  • “ The Key” by Ebrahim Forouzesh
  • “Where Is the Friend’s House” by Abbas Kiarostami
  • “The Wooden Pistols” by Shapour Gharib”
  • “Waiting” by Amir Naderi
  • “Break Time” by Abbas Kiarostami
  • “The Concordant” by Abbas Kiarostami
  • “The Uncle with a Moustache” by Bahram Beizaee
  • “Mr. Principle” by Hassan Aghakarimi
  • “Moradoo” by Mojtaba Safaralizade
  • “Mother’ by Leila Mirhadi

Animated films section:

  • “Alchemist” by Mehdi Khoramian
  • “Bald Pigeon Fancier” by Sadegh Javadi
  • “Rolling Pumpkin” by Morteza Ahadi
  • “The Farmer & the Robot” by Abdollah Alimorad
  • “The Fox Who Followed the Sound” by Fatemeh Goudarzi
  • “The Wolf & the Ewe” by Mohammad Ali Soleymanzadeh
  • “The Young Man &  the Cunning Tailor” by Rashin Kheyrieh
  • “Ton-Pich” by Samaneh Momtazmand

It is worth to mention that this festival was founded by “Tocada” Film Company. Mr. Kaveh Daneshmand and Mrs. Torang Daneshmand, the managers of this company, founded this festival with an artistic aim and held its first round last year on January 11-16, 2012 with the theme of “women in Iranian cinema”.

The festival which is considered the first Iranian film festival in Czech Republic is a non competitive festival which this year has allocated one night for Afghan cinema and a special section for Iranian leading animations.

Meanwhile the logo of Kanoon has been introduced in the website of the festival www.iranfilmfestival.cz as one of the sponsors and also one of the most famed and oldest producers of kids’ and teenagers’ programs in Iran. Enthusiasts can visit Kanoon’s website by clicking on its logo.
