Over the past nine years, Children’s Film Festival Seattle has become the largest and most respected film festival on the West Coast dedicated to children and their families. Each year, Northwest Film Forum selects more than 130 international children’s films from over 32 countries, reaching more than 10,000 people during festival screenings in Seattle and a subsequent festival tour of 15-20 U.S. cities.

Produced by Northwest Film Forum, the 11-day extravaganza celebrates the best and brightest in international cinema for children, featuring live performances, animation, features, shorts and hands-on education workshops, all crafted with care for the next generation of movie lovers.

Submitting 9 short animated films of “life story of the red pencil”, “Kind Moon”, “Zero”, “ Mammy Crow and the Fox”, “Wedding Party”, “The Farmer and The Robot”, “The Fox that The Followed the Sound”, “Bald Pigeon Fancier” and  “Rolling Pumpkin” to the festival from which “Kind Moon”, “The Fox that Followed The Sound” and “Mammy Crow and the Fox” selected, Kanoon participated in this year’s event.

“The Fox that Followed the Sound” is scheduled to be screened in 71 min” PAINT ME A STORY” section which is good for all ages, but best for 5 and over. Exquisite art meets incredible storytelling in this international collection of animation. Created for the festival’s youngest moviegoers, 65 min “TAKE WING” section will screen short films which are full of eye-popping color, catchy tunes and sweet stories that will take parents and kids to the moon and back. “Kind Moon” will be shown in this section which is for ages 3+. And “Mammy Crow and the Fox” will be screened in 74 min “TALES THAT STAND UP TALL” section for ages 8+ that includes a group of fables, told in stunning animation and live-action.
