“The Farmer and The Robot” wins Hyderabad Juries’ Special Award

Indian international kids’ film festival known as The Golden Elephant is an event held biennially in two national and international sections. The event which is regarded as one of the biggest kid’s festival in the world aims to create a lively and creative atmosphere for its young audience to watch the latest films and animations.

In this seven day festival many feature, short and animated films were screened for over one hundred thousand kids and hundreds of experts of kid’s cinema.

The organizer of the festival is a state run center called “India’s Kid’s Film Foundation” which supports production of valuable films for Indian kids and teenagers.

This year festival hosted 170 films from 44 countries in three competition sections including international, Indian competition and young directors. There was also a non competition section in which old kids’ films from different countries were screened.

Some awards were granted to both national and international films including The Golden Elephant for the best feature and short films, Golden Letter of Commendation for the second short film and special juries’ award for the best short film.

“The Farmer & the  Robot” made by Abdollah Alimorad won the juries’ special award.
