This is the story of a little sparrow who is captured by a hunter while she is looking for some seeds. A kind little girl helps her flee, but as they are escaping, the little girl falls down and tears her dress. The sparrow finds a seed and wants to eat it, but then she notes that it is an inedible cottonseed. She then makes thread out of that cottonseed by fluttering around and gives the thread to the little girl to sew her dress.  The little girl makes the sparrow a little cozy nest so that she will be safe and sound and secure from hunters.
